“No thank you” is an appropriate response to requests. So is “I’m sorry but I’ve changed my mind”
I’ve got a bunch of different balls in the air right now.
I feel like I’m pestering people all over the place.
They initially are very enthusiastic about ideas and then are not responding to organizing stage that I’m putting out there. So, I keep asking, just to nail it down.
I know the reason they don’t respond is they don’t want to tell me that they’ve changed their initial decision.
I’m a smart cookie.
You know what?
Changing your mind does not bother me. Change is good. And healthy. You thought about it and changed your mind. Ok, it totally happens.
Complete silence so I feel like I’m pestering you, bothers the day lights out of me. I find it rude.
Just tell me “no thank you”.
And then we can both move on to other things.
It’s not the end of the world.
It’s actually more polite than putting me off.
Everyone, say it with me….
no thank you….
I’m sorry but I’ve changed my mind…
See how easy that is?
